While writing this book, I created illustrations in Figma and took screenshots while working in the file Figma-Guide-Rus. In each chapter of the textbook, I include a link to the relevant pages of that project.
Option 1. Duplicate the file from the context menu
When you follow the link, the project appears in the Recents tab in your account.
There you can duplicate it into your own space. The copy will be available for editing.
Option 2. Quick duplication via /duplicate
If you have a link to a project, you can append this command to it in the browser address bar:
figma.com/file/SWzhkiTfKlTcUPgBvPrt83UM/Figma-Guide-Rus**/duplicate**
The project will be copied into your space. The link may include information after a “?”, which contains node coordinates on the canvas. Example:
**?node-id=294%3A1**
For the /duplicate command to work, that text must be removed.
